A new SPHERE Pilot project starts in Tampere (Finland) organised by Hämeen Liikunta ja Urheilu ry.
The Project, named "Happy Mind Sports", engages around 10-15 participants (adults) both male and female with range of different psychiatric disorders and long-term unemployment periods.
The pilot is supporting participants' social, physical and mental health by building individual levels of resilience and self-esteem to combat social isolation and aid their on-going rehabilitation.
Activities involve different sports (Gym, Yoga, Ball games, etc.) and are taking place 1-2 times per week over a period of four months. In the first appointment of this week, participants had some ball games and "get to know each other" sessions, in order to familiarize with the Project.
