Training in Rome for Nazionale Italiana “Crazy for Football”
In occasion of a match scheduled for 3rd August, in memory of Antonio Barba – footballer of the Italian National Team “Crazy For Football”, who passed away last year – the Italian National Team will gather next 28th July at “Hotel dello Sport” (CONI – Rome) for a four-day retreat, aimed at the athletic training of the team and at monitoring psychophysical conditions of the players involved.
The retreat is part of the activities related to project SPHERE – Sport Healing Rehabilitation – co-funded by the Erasmus+ Programme of the EU and aimed at the definition of a sport scientific protocol that will allow to identify the most suitable sport for psychiatric patients with different diagnoses and backgrounds in order to improve their psychophysical well-being.
During the trainings, ECOS – in cooperation with ’Istituto di Medicina e Scienza del CONI – will examine the most suitable instrument for monitoring players’/patients’ physical, mental and social wellbeing and the benefits of the sport activities.
Moreover, in order to explain the activities done, a Press Conference will take place next 31st July. Organisers of the project and all parties involved will attend the event.
